Dog Wallet
Client: PAWS
In 2021, a dog-inspired crypto currency called Dogecoin became the 4th most valuable digital asset in the world, exceeding a $70 billion marketcap. the community of investors behind it, an underdog collective of canine lovers that revelled in internet memes, were spending their profits on luxury items they could flaunt online, all while donations for real-life rescue dogs were the lowest they had been in years.

PAWS Chicago, the largest no-kill animal shelter in the midwest, built a digital wallet that allowed cryptocurrency investors to donate their Dogecoin (along with 30 other cryptocurrencies) to save the lives of dogs in need. ads from social posts to billboards featuring real shelter dogs included a qr code that automatically connected the cryptocurrency wallets of humans to the dog wallet, getting investors to share their profits directly with the animal that made them rich.

News of the Dog Wallet spread fast through the crypto world. shifting the conversation about virtual dogs to be about saving real shelter dogs and inspiring animal shelters across the world to adopt crypto-donating as a new revenue stream for dogs in need.
